Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Toolarity (toolarity.com) collects when you visit, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — if anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and ask.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a newsletter.
- We do not sell or share personal information, in the sense those terms are used under the CCPA/CPRA.
- We do not run any analytics script. We see only aggregate traffic totals from our hosting provider and search performance data from Google.
- Some outbound links to software vendors may be affiliate links. Any article that contains one says so at the top, and those vendors may set their own cookies once you land on their site.
What we collect
Server and delivery logs
The site is served through a content delivery network, which automatically records standard request data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referring page, timestamp, and response status. This happens for every website on the internet and is required to serve pages and block abuse. These logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short, provider-defined period and are not used to build a profile of you.
Analytics
We do not run any analytics script on this site — no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, nothing that loads in your browser to measure you. To see which guides get read, we look at two aggregate sources: the traffic totals our hosting provider (Cloudflare) compiles from its delivery logs, and Google Search Console, which reports how often our pages appear and are clicked in Google Search. Neither gives us a way to identify you.

Email you send us
If you email us, we keep the message and your address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of corrections made to articles. We don't add you to any list.
What we never collect
We do not collect payment details, we do not host user accounts, and we do not run comment forms. The site is static — there is no database holding information about you.

Who else receives data
Only the service providers required to run the site:
- Our hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare) — serves the pages and handles request logs.
- Software vendors you click through to — if you follow an affiliate link, the destination site is told that you arrived from us. What they do after that is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
We have never sold personal information and have no plans to. We disclose data to authorities only where legally compelled.
Legal basis (EEA and UK visitors)
Serving the site and keeping security logs rests on our legitimate interest in operating and protecting it. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing on this site for you to consent to. Cookies set by a vendor's site after you follow a link are governed by that vendor's policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we deliberately collect so little, in most cases there is nothing held that identifies you — but if you think there is, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for doing it.
Children
This site is aimed at adults choosing software tools. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
International visitors
The site is operated from outside the European Economic Area and the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries. By using the site you understand that your request data may be handled in a country other than your own.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we update the effective date at the top and describe the change. Continued use of the site after that date means the updated policy applies.
