What we stand behind
Every guide on Toolarity records the version we tested, the platform we tested it on, and the date. On that version, on that platform, on that date, what the article says is what we actually observed. That's the claim we make, and we'll correct it if we got it wrong.
Why it still goes out of date
Software changes underneath articles. A feature that was free becomes paid, a pricing page is rewritten, a plugin stops being maintained, a setting moves. The tested-on date at the top of each article exists so you can judge how much to trust it — an article tested two years ago is a starting point, not a current fact.
Before you pay for anything, check the vendor's own pricing page. Pricing and plan limits are the fastest-moving facts we publish and the ones where being out of date costs you money.
What these guides are not
- Not professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, security, or compliance advice. If you are choosing a tool to hold regulated, confidential, or personal data, evaluate it against your own obligations — our testing does not do that for you.
- Not a security audit. We report what a tool claims about encryption and sync, and what we could observe using it. We do not audit code or verify cryptographic claims.
- Not a substitute for your own backups. Guides here involve installing software, editing configuration files, and syncing data between machines. Back up your data first. You use these instructions at your own risk, and we can't be liable for data loss, downtime, or costs arising from following them.
